Hell Unfrozen

It’s 75 degrees out. In New England. In early March. This can only mean that Hell, having frozen over only a few days ago, has roared back to life with a vengeance.

The tulips and daffodils have presaged an early spring for several weeks, as have the Canada Geese migrating back north. Over the weekend we noticed crocuses popping up in our garden.

Lest we get ahead of ourselves, the water temperature in Boston harbor is an even 40 degrees. The speedo will have to wait.

It’s 82 degrees here in the Virginia Piedmont, looking at maybe 85 tomorrow – both records. Crazy!
